BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH COUNCIL.

I Beach Road. -With a view to definite ; action at the next meeting, the Works ■Committee was requested to confer with . Messrs. .larrett and Anderson, who had offered land for the deviation of Beach Road. The Mayor was empowered to request that the erection of the shop in the proposed line of deviation he delayed till after next meeting. I Hedges. Rigorous measures are to be taken in respect to overhanging hedges and gorse. where these are detrimentally affecting streets. j Meetings.- It was resolved to hold public I meetings at Birkenhead and Rirkdale on July 30 and 21 respectively, in order to : review the work of tbe Council and explain ! projected works. ,
