SUDDEN DEATH

ELDERLY MAN COLLAPSES. A sudden death occurred in Avondale about 10.30 a.m. yesterday, when \Ym. Sydney Burgats, 84 years of age, collapsed while wailking in the Great North Road, and expired shortly afterwards. Dr. Closs ivas called and pronounced life extinct. Mr. Burgess, who suffered from heart trouble, resided at Wharf Road, Avondale, and was an old identity, having been living in New Zealand 60 years. He had resided in Avondale during the past ten or twelve years. The deceased is survived by his wife, three married daughters and a son.
