» Mr. Cec-U Jameson (son of Mr. J. S. Jameson, of Rerauera) has had two pictures hung at the Royal Academy summer exhibition. The Hon. Sir Thomas Mackenzie and Lady Mackenzie have returned to Wellington from their short visit to Auckland. Mr. Kismet K. Wragge, son of Mr. Clement L. Wragge, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society, London. Mr. A. M. Woods, of Whangarei, was yesterday admitted 'by Mr. Justice Stringer as a 'barrister of the Supreme Court, on the motion of Mr. C. AI. Rattray. The Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister ot Mines; left last evening for Whangarei, accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. F. M. Sherwood. The Minister will return to Auckland to-morrow morning, and will proceed by the Rotorua express, via Matamata, to Tauranga and Te Puke.
