THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.

The Governor-General, Jord .Tellicoe, arrived from Wellington this morning by the Main Tri.T.k express. This afternoon their Excellencies attended a children's dance at Government They have no engagements for this evening. Their Excellencies are giving a carden party to-morrow afternoon, and on Friday evening they will be present 1 at the Victoria League Ball. Lord Jellicoe, who is patron of the Auckland Orphans' Club, will preside at the meeting of the club on Saturday. The annual exhibition of the Auckland Society of Arts will be opened by his Excellency' on May 25.
