•" FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. . ' Although the official closing event of the raeins season took place last Saturday th*re are still several races to be held by various clubs. To-morrow afternoon the New Zealand Power Boat Association will hod races •which start and finish off the Club Pavilion. Klnz's Drive. Tbe principal events are tbo "Burt Cup and Lunn Cup. for which good entries have been received, while Miss Masport will go over tbe conrs-? at top-speed to establish her right to the open speed champion pennant. The other events Include a re-sail of two Taces by the Northcote and Blrkenheai Regatta Committee, caused by the Sea Wolf capsizing, Marie going to the rescue of her crew. The Ponsonby Cruisinar Club will also fnld a second race for the Kohn Cup. This is necessitated b.v a mistake beins: made in the starting of the original race, "four of the six boats starting with rhe firing of the gun for the Lipton Cup for 22-footers. The following are rhe details: — N.Z. POWER BOAT ASSOCIATION. The Burr Cup. to start at 3 p.m.. over one round of the club's four-knot course. Boats must be steered by a lady. The entries are: Defender. Ahuareka. Lily Meg. Wallani, SttTf, Wanderoo. Seaola, Kingfisher, Waka. Miss Masport. and Tout Suite. Tbe handicaps will be declared on the morning of tbe race, ani the times will be given at the start of each race. The Lunn Cup. to start at 4 p.m.. course same as the Burt Cup. Boats must be steered b.v a returned soldier. The entries are the same as for the Burt Cup. Miss "Masport will start at .3.30 for her speed trial. The races will start off tire launch I.uana. Mr. E. R. .Boucher actinia- as starter and judge, and Mr. W. D. Ross as timekeeper. j NORTHCOTE ANI) BIRKENHEAD REGATTA. The re-sail for second-class yachts and tbe Smith Cup will start together at 2.30 p.m. ofT Northcote wharf, the course betas from starting line round Resolution Buoy. Whence ; round Sandsplt Beacon, tbeuee round mark boat otT Chelsea Beacon, finishing at starting line, keeping all marks on port. The entries .and handicaps are:—Second-class yachts: Marie scr. Valeria 15m. Maru 4m. Waiapu lllm. Waima 12m, Lorna 17m, Secret 17m. Special handicap for the Smith Cup: Heartsease 3}m. Dorothy 10m, Marie !12m, Valeria 13Jm. "Maru 16m, Waiapu 23} m, Waima 24m. Lorna 29m. Secret 29m. Mr. J. Held will act as starter, and Mr. J. T. ■Fernley as judge and timekeeper. Only" boats which started in the original race are eligible to start In the re-sail. PONSONBY CRUISING CLUB. The Kohn Cup will be run off at 1.45 p.m.. the starting lj-pe being between the dredger (Maui and mark boat moored sonth. From Sere the boats go round Pile Beacoi off Chelsea, thence round outer pile off Bayswater, thence round mark boat off western tide deflector to starting line, once round, keeping all marks on starboard. The entries and handicaps arc:—Esme scr, Arab B*hn. Daisy 12* m. Countess 14m, Ella 14m, Muzzletov 25m. As these were the only starters In the original event, they are the nnly ones eligible to race to-morrow.
