BIBLE QUESTIONS.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—Mr. J. Liddell Kelly has a humorous article in the "Star" Supplement entitled "The Earth and Moon;" I do not propose to treat the subject seriously, but Mr. Kelly's opinion that heaven is a locality is clearly in conflict with the Gospel (Luke xvii. 20-21): "The kingdom of God corneth not with observation: neither shall they say, lo bere! or lo there! for behpld the kingdom of God is within you." These words clearly indicate that heaven is a. state of mind or consciousness, and not a place. Then why does your correspondent seek it by "observation on the moon, Venus, or in tbe ether? Another question! might ask in passing is, how many modern professing Christians are able to heal by the laying on of hands? Yet this is the test applied by Jesus (Mark xvi. 17-18): "And these signs shall follow them that "believe; . . . they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.'' The words "them that" indicate that the reference is to all believers, and not merely to the disciples. The Bible students claim to be the wise men of these (so-called) latter days. How many of them would be found to he even Christians (believers) if this test were applied?—l am, etc., CURIOUS.
