ARRIVAL OF IMMIGRANTS.
i WAIMAXA AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.-Press Association.! WELLINGTON, this day. The Waimana arrived here yesterday I from London with 1190 immigrants. A j large percentage of the newcomers are youthful, and many are children. The I voyage was uneventful till the Waimana was approaching the coast, when the ship encountered rough weather, and as she was flying light, she got a good dusting. j Twenty-one of the children brought by I the Waimana are war orphans, who have I come out under the aegis of the Salvation Army. Fourteen boys will be sent at once" to the Army's farm at Putaruru, and seven girls will remain in the Army J i Home at Wellington to be trained for domestic service.
