FIRE BRIGADE CONFERENCE.
TWi__rnr ______ ANNUAL ____TING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, Monday. The twenty-first annual conference ot tbe Auckland Provincial District Fire Brigade Sub-Association was held on Saturday. There were present: President, Superintendent H. E. Follas (Devonport); secretary, 'Superintendent T. J. Watts (Newmarket); treasurer, Secretary G. A. Osborne (Onehunga); and delegates, Foreman H. Vause (Gambridge), Foreman Stevens (Devonport), Foreman J. Gray (Oeenlane), Superintendent Canton (Morrinsville), Lieut. Surma (Mt. Eden), Secretary H. E. Watts (Newmarket), Captain Brown (Pukekohe), Superintendent Henderson (Te Kuiti), Fireman Sorrensen (Tauranga), Deputy-Superintendent Ross (Taumarunui), Deputy-Superintendent (Stamp (Waihi), Deputy-Superintendent Tinsley (Raetmi), Superintendent Neil TManunui), Capi. W. Moore (Paeroa). The annual report and balance-sheet, which were adopted, stated, inter-alki, that the roll number of the Provincial I District Association stood at 28, iMauu>nui and Morrinsville __>th having joined. since the last annual .conference, At present the Auckland Provincial District Sub-Association was the strongest body of its kind in the Dominion. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £43 6/4. The following office-bearers were appointed for the ensuing year:—President, Pioneer L. RandeU (Newmarket); senior viceTpresident, Foreman J. Gray (Greenlane); junior vice-president, Superintendent Canton (Morrinsviile); treasurer, Secretary C. A. Osborne (Onehunga) ; secretary, Captain T. J. Watts I (Newmarket); auditors, Captains Holjlingsworth (Greenlane) and Gilbert (Onehunga); trustees, Captain Williams I (Mt. Eden) and ex-Captain Hill (Onehunga). ■h
