EMBEZZLEMENT CASE.
» A MISTAKE COBSKBCTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association-) W_____DsGTON, Monday. On March 31, in a Press __-soei_--Oii message published in various newspaper-, it was stated that a cashier in the traffic -OS-lector's office of the W-llingtcn City Council had pleaded guilty to the theft of moneys belonging to tie council and had been committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The name of the accused was given in the message as i Moncey Thomas. This was an error, his ■rail name being Moncey Thomas Fuller, . but the surname was omitted from the ' message by mistake. This correction is now made because there happens to be another clerk in the City Council office I whose surname is Thomas, but who has | a different Christian name. The Press | Association regrets any annoyance (which may have been caused Mr. Thomas by reason of the error.
