METHODIST CENTENARY.
BIBLE CLASS GAMP. The youths of New Zealand (Methodism are celebrating the centenary of Methodism in -few Zealand by holding their Bible Class camp at Maidstone Park, at Upper Hutt, Wellington. The camp is over 250 strong, and is representative of (Methodist Bible classes throughout the Dominion. The Rev. C. H. Laws, President of th* Methodist Conference, and the Rev. A. C. Lawry, secretary of the Centenary Committee, are among the campers, and have been able to stimulate a high spiritual atmosphere among the young men. In the elocutionary and oratorical competitions, held on Good Friday, Mr. L- A. Swift, of Northland, was the win- : ncr, and Mr. W. E. Bate, of Napier, was : second ' On Saturday the annual sports meeting was held The championship result wa_ a draw between the Auckland and Wellington District Unions, each securing 24 pointe. Mr. G. C. Burton, of Wellington, was the winner of the most | championship points in the open division, i and Mr. R. Eady, of Auckland, was the ■winner of the junior division.
