He. thought that if it was possible to secure statistic.*, it would be found that a considerable number of T.B. and mental cases were coining out, besides men; with very considerable 'Usabilities, withj wi-es and families dependent on them. The medical history of Chews cx-scrvice j men could be scrutinized, he suggested,| by an officer appointed by the Highj Commissioner, thus checking the tending of sucli cases out here T!ie Hon. C!. J. Anderson said that he would bring the matter mentioned by General McGavin before the Ministcrincliarge of Immigration ( the Hon. \V. Xosworthy), and he was cure that he would have it thoroughly inquired into. It was news to him, and he was sure, also, to his colleague, that men who were mental and T.B. cases were coming into the country. He was cure that Cabinet did not desire fiat. The Government had stopped immigration some months ago, and only those cent out by the Imperial authorities in that way, e x- S «>rvice men, and nominated immigrants were coming out here.
