LABOUR IN AUSTRALIA.

HO TYRANNY OR BOLSHEVISM. LONDON, March 30. The Chamber of Shipping entertained Mr. H. N. 'Barwell (Premier of South Australia) at a luncheon. Mr. Barwell endeavoured to disabuse shippers of the impression prevalent that Australia is hopelessly impossible from a mercantile point of view owing to onerous legislation, the tyranny of trades unions, ana the prevalence of Bolshevism. He pointed out that the majority of the Labour party were not affected by Bolshevism arid would probably detach themselves from the extremists. Australia's trade was improving, arid more and cheaper shipping would be helpful in marketing Australian products. —(A- and _N.Z.)
