LABOUR CONDITIONS.

. A GOOD YEAR. The annual report of the Auckland Labour Representative Committee, now available, states that notwithstanding the very severe period of financial depression through which we have been passing during the last twelve months, it is a matter for congratulation that the balance-sheet discloses that they have once again beaten the record in amount of money raised by the various activities. The office had again been self-supporting, and during the last two years had never once made an appeal to affiliated organisations for financial assistance on its own behalf, but always for elections, special funds, or in aid of the national office: only £229 has been received during the year from affiliated bodies, the remainder (£233-5) being raised by the various activities.
