CLASS HATRED IN AUSTRALIA
' I LOWER WAGES NEEDED. i LONDON, March 2(1. At a banquet given by the Hull Chamber of Commerce. Mr. 11. N. Harwell (Premier of South Australia) referred to the Commonwealth Government running lines of steamers. He believed in private ownership and control. Government control was foredoomed to failure. Australia was passing through trying time*. Like Kngland. the Australian working man was being led by Bolshevik i extremists who were responsible for class i hatred between Capital and Labour, and i consequent unemploytr- nt which was holding Australia back. They must get | down to a proper economic basis. What I was wanted in Australian was lower J wages.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
