a NORTHERN COMMAND BELT. WON BY HAMILTON" LAD. Conditions were ideal at the Penros ratine on Saturday, and were a great Improvement on the weather previous. With very little wind and a bright, wat— sun, conditions were conducive to some remarkably good shooting, particularly in the cadet sections. There was again a good muster of naval m»n. who shot well iv the individual matches. Later in the afternoon rain made conditions very different from those prevailing in The morning. The senior cadet championship was won after a close contest by K. Tomkins, Hamilton High School, with 173. Boy Moran, H.M.s. Tliilomel, was second with 173, and W. G. Walker. 20th Ponsonby Company, third with 171. Tomkins also took the Logan Campbell gold medal. The artisan units Rectlon prize went to Moran, and the secondary schools units prize was won by It. Wall—gford. Grammar School. The Northern Command championship was won by Q.M.S. Edgecumbe, Hamilton High. ■School, with 46 points, who takes the champion belt and the silver cup. This is the ser-ond time the coveted trophy has been yon by Q.M.S. Edgecumbe. Sergeant Mackv. 4th Mounted Rifles.-was second with 46. and Seneant G. ~D. Moon, 22nd Company City. was third with 40.
