FIRE AT TIMARU.

BEAZK IN BOARDINGHOUSE. (Bf Telegraph.—Press Association l TIMARU, thie day. Early this morning the Fire Brigade was called to Wai-iti JRoad, where Holmwood house, owned by Mr. E. R. Guineas, and occupied by Mre. Lord, as a boardinghouse, was found in flames. The brigade worked 2$ hours before the flames were extinguished, but not before extensive damage had been done. The lire apparently started in the kitchen, but its origin is a mystery. All the inmates escaped safely. The building contained 12 rooms, and was an old wooden structure.
