The Colonial butter market is slifrhtly less active, principally owing to a • reduction of 20/ in Danish, which is now 1 selling at 180/, but the consumption is £ still satisfactory. Salted New Zealand choicest is quoted 1 at 140/ to 145/, secondary 125/ to 130/, • uiisalted 100/. Choicest Australian salted is quoted ' at 130/ to 132/, secondary 116/ to 125/; • choicest unsalted 140/ to 142/, secon- ; dary 125/ to 135/. Cheese is firmer and the demand im- .- proving. New Zealand white sells at 1 00/ to 02/. coloured 04/ to 06/; Australian white 84/ to 86/, coloured SB/ to '" 90/. Importers are complaining bitterly of ' the delay in the discharge of New Zear land butter ships, notably the Tainui, 1 which arrived on the sth. nnd from which 1 only a few boxes have been discharged.
