TWO-UP AT ROTORUA.
CONSTABLE CAMOUFLAGED. A GOOD HAUL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. In the Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr. Kenrick, S.M., E. Carnachan, B. Doggett, Bongo Winiata, Tc Hamora, Duncan S. Barlow, H. Glover, W. M. Moore, A. J. Smith, J. Hoyes, and Kamo appeared on a charge of having played two-up at Whakarewarewa. The first nine of the accused pleaded guilty. Senior-Sergeant Quinn said he camouflaged two constables at two o'clock on Monday morning. At eleven o'clock the men appeared and the game began. The constables took the names.
Tbe Magistrate said there were no previous convictions against the accused and their characters were good. He inflicted a fine of £2 each with costs.
