The steamer Tremeno, which arrived in Wellington on Thursday from Cardiff, ■brought SIOO tons of coal for the New Zealand Railways. SOMERSET FOR NEW ZEALAND. The Federal steamer Somerset is due at Auckland from Liverpool ou February ,">. She will discharge here, and also at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. RONA FROM FIJI. The Colonial Sngar Refining Company Jinve received advice that their steamer Rona left Suva at 7 p.m. yesterday for Auckland with a cargo of sugar and molasses. She is expected to arrive here on Wednesday. TNTERCOLONIAL SAILINGS. The Maheno Is due at Auckland from ■Sydney on January 2, and sails on the return journey on January 4. The Manuka leaves Wellington on Frldav for Sydney, being due there on January 2. WAIRTJNA FROM THE EAST. Laden with, cargo from -Calcutta and 'Samarang, the Unien Company's freighter Wairuna cleared the latter port on Sunday. December 18, for Auckland. She is due to arrive here on January 8. KAIKOURA SAILED. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Kaikoura sailed early this lnorninir for Wellington to continue diseharne of her cargo from West Coast ports of the TJnitcd Kingdom. She will proceed afterwards to Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge, and will then load in New Zealand for the United Kingdom, sailing finally from the Dominion about the end of January. R.'M.S. IIAKUBA. The Union Company's E.M.s. Slakura from Vancouver brings IS3 bags of mail for Auckland. 33T passengers, Including 4-r, first saloon, 48 second saloon, and GO third class for Sydney, and 800 tons of cargo for Auckland besides a small quantity for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Included In the cargo is a lift -welghinc about 4J tons. She is due at Suva on Monday, and Auckland on Friday nest, and is flue tp' sail at 5 p.m. on Friday for Sydney. SHIPPING OFFICES CLOSED. The Union Steam Ship Company, the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Northern S.S. Co., A. G. Frankham, and .Tohn Burns' shipping offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday nest week; the Huddart Parker Company, Russell and Somers. and Messrs. Watkln and Wallis will be closed ou Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Messrs. Heather, Roberton, Ltd.. will close their shipping office on Monday only. CHRISTMAS COASTAL SERVICES. The Northern S.S. Company advise that there' will be no movements among steamers of their fleet to-morrow, with the exception of the departure of the Wakatere from Thames for Auckland. Next week the usual excursions will be run to the bays in the Gulf. Several changes, other than the trips to the pleasure resorts, win be made to the time-table. The Wakatere sails for Thames at midnight on December 27 and December 28 and at 2.30 p.m. on Friday. December RO, sailing from Thames for Auckland on Wednesday December 28, at 5 a.m., December 20 at 7 a.m., and December 31 at 7.30 p.m. The Raratva will be leaving Onehurga for New Plymouth on Wednesday. December 28, at 4 p.m., Friday, 30th, S.oO p.m.: and returns, leaving New Plymouth, on Thursday and Saturday. The Manaia will pail as usual for Whangarei on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with the exception that on December 26 and January 2 sbe leaves here at miduight. The Kanleri leaves for WUaugarei Tuesday and Thursday. The Ngapnhl wlfi leave Auckland for Tanranga on the 3rth and 20th. The Clansman will leave for all her northern ports on Tuesdaj - , December 27, at 8 p.m.
