Allan Stewart Blackie, who was arrested in Auckland a little over a week ago as he was boarding a Sydney boat, pleaded guilty at Hamilton to-day to converting two cheques for £215 and £115 to his oVn use. He iras committed for sentence. Another young man, named John Jack, son, who was arrested here last night, was remanded to appear at Whakatane on a charge of forging and uttering a cheque. He is alleged to have altered the amount from £9 to £00.
