ALLEGED GUM THEFTS.

THREE MEN ARRESTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DAB.GAVILLE, this day. Three men, Charles Laswrence Copcdo, Percy Dward Martin, and Robert Mailer, were brought before two justices of the peace to-day and charged with .stealing a quantity of gnm at Rcdhill from Jones Bros., Young and Co., Cochrane Bros., and a returned one-armed soldier named Cochrane. The accused were remanded for eight days. A number of complaints have been made recently with respect to gum stealing, and it has been particularly hard to detect the offenders.
