"*"— — - LOYAL IRISH WINS AGAIN. Mr. J. Williamson has received cable advice that his colt Loyal Irish won the Malt/and Cup on Saturday last. The cup was of the value of SUOsovs, and was run over a mile aud a-quarter, and, though Loyal Irish only had (i.7 in tbe saddle, he Ls reported to have won in good style. The Absurd colt is engaged in all thte prlncpal spring events in Australia, and his success will draw pointed attention to his prospects. TAKURAXGA HUNT MEETING. Toa Taua was withdrawn from all eugagements at the Pakuranga Hunt Club's Meeting at 0 o'clock this morning. ADELAIDE GRAND NATIONAL. \ TOP WEIGHT WINS. ADELAIDE, Angnst 27. The Adelaide National Steeplechase, of GOOsovs. about three miles, resulted:— Haoma, T2.2 1 Donishrook. 9.0 2 Destructible, 10.4 8 Sixteen started.
