TOBACCO CHEAPER.
Reductions have been decided upon in the retail prices of several brands of tobacco and cigarettes following adjustments made in the wholesale rates which have" apparently been forced upon ware: houses owing to the large stocks held. Although the principal "ordinary" lines remain unchanged, the drop is of particular interest because it is the first made in the retail tobacco trade for several years.
