TENANTS' PROTECTION ACT.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Before this correspondence is closed may,l be permitted to suggest that apart from the reasons already advanced by Mr. Fleming as to why it is advisable that the War Legislation Acts, in so far as they affect the relationships of owner and tenant, should be repealed, that one excellent reason why tenants should no longer be protected is to he found in the fact that flic great majority of them are sub-letting even to working class people at prices ranging from 15/ to -20/ per room. 1 know li and 7-roomed houses let for 21/ per week, the tenants of which arc charging very big prices for rooms. In fact, Labour-Socialists I know are as bad as the worst class of grasping landlord when it comes to sub-letting, ■ and yet they are squealing about landlords and capitalists.—l am, etc., COMMON SEXSE.
