Preliminary dicsassions have begun regarding bouts between Dempsey and Willard or Dempsey and Wills, and Carpentier and Mike Gibbons. Mr. Descamps. Carpehtiers manager, estimates that it will be three months before Carpentier is able to fight, owing to his thumb. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.) M.
