LONDON, July 5.

Extensive .forest fires on the Kunauh foothills in the United Provinces destroyed 250,000 acres of forests. It is now definitely proved that the fires were caused by incendiaries incited by the non-co-operation agitation. Nineteen arrests have been made. —(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
