TESTS IN ENGLAND.
TIME TO PREPARE. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONTJOX, March 28. The "Times," c6mmenting on the Test matches, draws serious attention to the apathy at present s'nown in England. The '"Times" says: "The English eleven will take the field without the smallest preparation. A trial game against a decently strong team would have been invaluable, but we never take the simplest precautions, and leave everything to chance." It is considered that sis out of the present eleven will be chosen. The selection of bowlers is the chief difficulty. ("Times.") M.C.C.'S PROFIT. (KecPived 0.30 a.m.) IMELBOURXE, this day. It is unofficially stated that the M.C.C. share of the jrate receipts in the Victorian matches wiTT be frop £7000 to £8000, the receipts aggregating between £22,000 and £23,000. — (A*, and N.Z.
