FINANCIAL PRESSURE.
A SLIGHT EASING. (By Telegraph — Press Association ) WELLINGTON, this day. There oujrht to ibe signs of a slight easing*, of the financial pressure of the past few weeks now that the income tax demands have been fairly well met, according to the Minister of Finance, Mr. •V. F. Massey. How long this relief will last is not easy to say in view of the I gTeat depreciation in values of wool and ■ live stock, and heavy stocks carried by i mercantile houses, the reduced spend- | in£ power of the people as a whole, and 1 suspension of work at many of the ports 'of the Dominion. The industrial atmosj phrre is still far from enjoying antiI cyclonic conditions.
