FIRE BRIGADES CONFERENCE.

(By Telegraph.—rress Association.) ■NAPIER, Tuesday. The association accepted the invitation of the Palmerston Xorth Brigade to hold the next conference in Palmerston North. The following officers were elected for t-h-e ensuing year.:—President, Ca.pt. C. A. Lucas (Pt. Kilda.) ; vicepres'dents. Senior, Supt. YV". H. Barnard (Palmerston North); junior. Capt. H. E. flreabhead (ißketahuna) ; treasurer, Mr. C. A. Osiborne (Onhunga) ; auditor, Mr. P. R. iFra.-cr (Auckland). At the -2Hh annual meeting of the U.F.B.A. Accident -Society the following officers were elected: — President, fiu.pt. J. Carter (Sumner) ; vice-presidents, Secretary E. S. Cross (Hamilton), Supt. G. H. Riddell (.Spit) ; treasurer, Secretary C. A. Osborne (Onehungai; secretary, Capt. T. J. iWatts (Newmarket); aud'tor, Mr. P. R. Fraser (Auckland).
