Tlic following games were completed:— Mason v. Pouhy (Ccntro Counter Gambit). On the 10th move Mason announced ma-fco in two. ■Cvles v. Kelling (Centre Counter Gambit). At move 23 Kelliiig gave up a rook for a •bishop and pawn. Gyles retaliated : by giving up a bishop for a rook. After this it was ra.y going for Gyles, and Rolling resigned at the. 33rd move. , . Diuilop v. Sevarne (Queen 3 O-anibit Declined) U the 10th move Diinlop lost a piece l.v a.n error. By a brilliant piece of play Ounlop later succeeded m matin* Severne on the 34th move. lhi= : game may take the prize for the best ' levies v.
