CHRISTMAS DEATHROLL. FOURTEEN PEOPLE KILLED. LOXDON, December 28. Fourteen persons were killed in Ireland during the Christmas week-end, including a girl heroine of Limerick, who was shot dead in attempting to protect Constable Richardson. Richardson was walking with Elizabeth Scales, aged 22, on Sunday evening, when four men Beized the constable's revolver and levelled it against him. The girl rushed in bet-n-een the murderers and the constable, and was mortally'shot.— (A. and X.Z. Cable.)
