RUNAWAY HORSE.
JUMPS INTO MOTOR CAE. While Mr. W. Wintle, of St. Stephen's Avenue, ParneU, was driving along Lake road, Takapu'na, yesterday, he was suddenly surprised by a horse dragging with it a rope tied to a stake rushing out of Rawhiti Avenue. The horse galloped on to the footpath, and although Mr. Wintle endeavoured to avoid a collision, the frightened animal eventually swerved off the footpath and collided with the ear, damaging it considerably and injuring Mrs. Williams, who. in company with Mr. and Mrs. Wintle and two children was enjoying a drive. The horse, too, which belonged to Mr. T. G. Connor, was very much cut about by the accident.
