LOANS FOR AUSTRALIA.
THE COMMONWEALTH'S NEEDS. LONDON, December 7. It is authoritatively stated that the Commonwealth Government has been informed that a £10,000,000 loan is impossible. The amount has not been decided. South Australia is floating a £3,000,000 loan, and Tasmania a £2,000,000 loan, both in January.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
