BETTER TONE TO-DAY. . Representatives of Home firms, - fellmongers and New Zealand mills . • were present, and there was keener I > competition up to a point. Jn nearly ! every class coarse wools grew weaker . 1 as the sale proceeded. The catalogue j < totalled 5861 bales. In the first part of ! ' the sale, prices for half-bred wools , ' were up to £d a pound, better than at I the November sale. Prices for three- ; • quarter bred wools showed a decline of i' about Jd a pount: price* for coarse j wools a decline of from H to 3d per : j pound.
