WHANGAREI RACING CLUB.
SECOND DAY'S RACING. POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY. Heavy rain fell during the night, andj ac there was no eign of the weather; clearing this morning the* committee of the Whangarei Racing Club met and after inspecting the course, which in ■ places was under water, decided to post-1 pone the second day's racing of their annual meeting, which is being held on the Avondale course, until Monday next. j The racing will start at 11 a.m., and all! i other arrangements will be the same as j J advertised for to-day. In consequence of: the postponement of the fixture, as well as other outdoor sporte arranged for today, there will be no "Star" Sporte Edition published this evening.
