WORST BELIEVED OVER. LONDON, October 15. A War Office communique on the operations in Mesopotamia states that the British, column from Naeireyeh, which is advancing to relieve Samawa, on the Lower Euphrates, is now 14 miles from Samawa. After fighting a strong force of tribesmen, the column operating in the Middle Euphrates has made progress. It is believed that. the worst troubles in Mesopotamia arc over.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
