LABIES , CHAMPIONSHIP, HAMILTON MEETING. SEMI-FINALS. 'HAMILTON. Thursday. The semi-flnale for the ladies' golf championship were played tils afternoon. Although the weather was line a stiff southwesterly wind made some of the long holes rather dlfßriilr. In this rwpert the long 7t!i (dl 4 yurddj was almost unreacbable in four shots.

Ciiriouslv enough, the finalists in the Auckland club championship, Mrs. Dargaville and Miss M. Pavton, and Mrs. Peake and Miss Hally, .of tbe Cambridge Club, met once again. in each case the previous winner once again scored a victory. Miss M. Pavton again scored by steady, consistent golf, rarely making a mistake through the green, but occasionally being guilty of taking three putts on the green. The first (hole was halved lv four, but Miss Payion 'won the se-ond and third by bogey figures ."> nr.il 4. At the fourth Mrs. Dargavllle holed a long putt for a win in 4, aud following this up with a well-played 4 at the fifth, brought t.'ie game to all squpare again. At the sixth both found the bunkers in their approaches, but got well nut with their thirds. Miss Pavton. however, required three putts and Mrs. Dargaville became 1 up. The long seventh found Mrs. Dargavllle one stroke behind her opponent right up to Ihe green, but by two good putts she secured a half.
