M. MILLERAND'S ELECTION.
RADICAL OPPOSITION. BEIAND TO BE PREMIER. (Received 10.30 n.nU PARIS, September 23. M. Millerand'e sweeping- majority at the first ballot decided the supporters of M. Bourgeois and M. Peret to give their rotes to M. Millerand, who was thus elected, though certain Radicals, including M. Doumerguc, signified their intention of abstaining from voting as a protest against M. Millerand's new political conception. It is likely that M. Briand will become Premier.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.)
