DEMOCRACY'S WIN. (From Our Special Correspondent.) SUVA (Fiji), September 17. Our elections for seven unofficial members for the Legislative Council are over, and the result is a distinct win for what might be called the Democratic party in the colony. The big interests, notably the C.S.R. Co., have suffered a severe rebuff at the hands of the free and independent The most urgent questions are a more liberal land Jaw, a roads policy, and better steamer communication—inter-island as well as a supply of labour.
