DESIGNING THE MAFLE LEAF. (Received 11...0 a.m.) MONTREAL, August 22. Mr. Ross lias announced that Mr. Charles Nicholson has accepted the commission to design the Maple Leaf, the proposed challenger for the America Cup. Preliminary work will be begun in Fmglaod, and (he completion of the construction will be carried on in Canada.— !/., and N.Z. Cable.)
