WAIHI, this day.
The local health officer (Mr. J. Erwin) reports that during the month of May i>4 cases of infectious diseases have been recorded, 48 being influenza, 4 scarlet fever, and 1 chicken-pox. The influenza cases represent aJwut 1 per cent of the people of the town. -
