INFLUENZA NOTIFICATIONS.

SCHOOLS OPEN. OX MONDAY.

The Health Department announces that all public schools of Auckland will be opened on Monday. The Grammar School will also re-aesemble next Monday for the commencement of the second term.

The daily report up till noon to-day of the Auckland Health Office shows that the total number of influenza notifications for the period is 115. Of these casee 24 are severe. This is an increase of "73 upon yesterday's report. Forty notifications of mild influenza from Coromandel, however, extend over a lengthy period, having been held back. The other casee are distributed as'follows: City, 10 mild; suburbs, 8 mild, 1 severe; Auckland country districts, 2 severe; Cambridge, 2 mild; Ohura, 1 mild; Thames, 14 mild; Paeroa, 4 mild, 1 severe; Waihi, 4 mild, 1 eevere; Karangahake, 18 severe; Whakatane, 8 mild, 1 severe.
