PARIS, May 24.
While proceeding to Montbrison to unveil a memorial to Lieutenant Raymond, Senator and aviator, M. Paul Deschanel (President of France), when walking along the corridor of his train? fell through an open door. He was not missed until the train bad travelled 40 miles.
A gang of fettlers picked up M. Deschanel unconscious. When he recovered he said: "I am the President," but failed to convince the workmen, who thought him insane, and conveyed him to Montargia.
He is not believed to be seriously injured, though he is badly bruised. Madame Deschanel and M. Millerand have gone to Montargis.—(A. and N.Z.)
