ORDERED TO PARADB.

(By Teleerepn.—Special to "c*"!

WANGANUI, this day.

At the local Court to-day two ymrfsf engaged in dairying and exrtplajti by their parents made application for exemption from attending territorial parades. Lieutenant Wales opposed the application on the ground that he considered the boys were overworked. They WJW up at four o'clock each morning an* finished at 7 p.m. If the parades did nothing else, he considered it would mean a. day's holiday for the boys. The Magistrate said it was evident that the lad's were overworked, wbiel was corroborated by the mother, w>3 also stated that the boys had not been to the pictures once in two years. The Magistrate replied that the boyi were none the worse off for that, but at the same time they should get aoae relaxation and an opportunity to mix vHh other lads. Work should not stand in the way of attending parades, and, at the parents were making roflfiffli money, they would have to employ sow>one to relieve the boys. The applicatWß for exemption was then refused.
