HOME SERVICE LEAGUE.

A meeting of the New Zealand Home Service "League, formerly the New Zealand Soldiers' Association, was held on Thursday, Mr. A. _. BrownhUl being in the chair. The change of the association's name to The Mew Zealand IHome Service' League (Incorporated), was ratified. The meeting, on the motion of Mr. Osburne-Lilly, confirmed the resolutions passed by the Central Executive Committee at Wellington, in connection with the administration of funds and other matters. IMessrs Osburne-_illy and E. Cutumlnga were appointed district representatives'on a deputation to Parliament to present a petition setting forth the objects of the association, and requesting recognition toy the •Government. _Ir. |W. A. Wilkinson waa appointed secretary to the Auckland 'branch, vice Mr G E. Tole, who had resigned, and Mr. A." E. Brownhill was appointed vice-president. The election of president was deferred until the next meeting.
