CH-ISTCHO'BICH, Friday. The downward movement in oats was only temporary, and prices are now stable at rates quoted last week. Shortage of Vtz!m 7 < H UC K?, and stor »ge, together with. Insufficient shipping facilities, are mlUtating against a Uvely market. Potatoes are in good supply. Yields are prolific, and samples are good, but local demand Is not keen. Northern buyers are now drawing on their contract supplies and there Is not much inquiry from out•lde. Buyers are offering £3 10/ to £6, 'but sellers are not disposed to accept these prices, and much pitting is being done It has been reported that there is a prospect of tbe embargo on export to Australia being lifted in the near future and growers anticipate better prices wben this happens. Barley remains unaltered. A few odd lines remain in the country, ibut. generally speaking, the crop has ibeen marketed. Chaff is in'the same position as oats and sales are slow.
