TOO.OOO DEATHS FROM TTPHUS. (Received 9.30 a.m.) PARIS, May 12. A representative of the newspaper -'Excelsior, ,, who has returned after an' Exhaustive tour of Russia, declares that 300,000 died in Petrograd last winter from typhus. Moat of the public buildings were converted into hospitals. Prices of food have risen to rates beyond imagination, and 700,000 have been reduced to eating herbs and grass.—(A. and N. 2.)
