I The Marylebono Cricket Club, in an official statement, announces that it is taking preliminary steps in regard to { sending a team to Australia. Austen Chamberlain expressed his willingness to consider an alternative, but ho stressed the necessity of reducing the vast debt and establishing the credit of the country. The motion wag negatived Iby 286 votes to 75. The corporation tax i was adopted, Mr. Austen Chamberlain ' intimating that co-operative dividends would be exempted from the tax.—CA. land X.Z.
