A PLUCKY RESCUE

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. A plucky deed wee performed at the Baptist Sunday-school picnic at Tiritea yesterday, when a girl named Phyllis Hulbert (13), daughter of J. Hulbert, of Wellington, rescued Raynor Shera, aged 3, from drowning. The latter was playing on the edge of the Tiritea Stream when she fell into a pool 6ft jjlpp. The rescuer, without hesitation, jumped in and brought the boy to the bank.
