THE RETURNING SOLDIERS.
DUE TO MOKKOW. A batch of Aucklanders are due to arrive here to-morrow morning by the ordinary express from Wellington. They I are portion of the Rimutaka draft, which, I according to latest advice, was due at Wellington last evening. There are approximately 102 for Auckland. In addition there are a number of women and ( children. The Defence Department advise that the Railway Department did not consider 1 the number returning warranted the running of a special train. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON", tfhis day. The Kimutaka, with returning troops, berthed early this morning, and the troops were disembarked. Those for the Xorth left by various trains during the day. The last day at sea was marked ' 'by the presentation of an illuminated address to the ship's master, Captain Hemming, from officers and troops on ' hoard. Much educational work was ■ done during the trip.
